The Vivax-Metrotech vScan is a rugged, dual-frequency (33 kHz & 131 kHz) utility avoidance tool designed to keep your excavation teams safe while saving time on site. A high-resolution, sunlight-readable display with automatic back-light makes interpreting signals quick, even after dusk, while the built-in compass shows the cable’s line direction so you stay directly on target. Visual, audible and vibration alerts warn of shallow lines, overload or excessive swinging, reducing the risk of strikes.
Housed in tough ABS with rubber bumpers and rated to IP54, the locator stands up to rain, dust and rough handling. Six AA batteries give roughly 12 hours’ use, or upgrade to the lithium-ion pack for up to 50 hours between charges. Integrated 4 GB data-logging stores every locate, and selected models add Bluetooth and GPS for effortless mapping and proof-of-work reporting. The optional Metal mode (vScan M) pin-points lost covers and valve boxes, while the 1 W transmitter delivers strong active signals for confident tracing up to 7 m deep.
Shipped as a complete kit in a padded carry bag, the vScan is ready to go straight out of the box - no complex menus, just two buttons and a rotary gain control that feels instantly familiar.
